Dr. Fran Woodworth, D.V.M.

Dr. Fran Woodworth received a BS in Animal Science from the University of New Hampshire in 1979, and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University in 1983. She and Dr. Norm Woodworth were veterinary classmate sweethearts and married after their sophomore year. They practiced in Quakertown, PA for 3 years before moving to Elba, NY in 1986.

Dr. Fran practiced equine medicine based out of her home, and did small animal relief work at the Warsaw Animal Hospital until the opening of the State Street Animal Hospital in 1994. The small animal work became so demanding that she closed the equine portion of the practice in 2004. Dr. Fran especially loves doing surgery, and developing her ultrasound exam skills.

Dr. Gwendolyn Wollney, D.V.M.

Dr. Gwen received both her Bachelors in biology and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University. She had practiced small animal and exotic medicine and surgery in Connecticut, and then Rochester, NY before joining State Street Animal Hospital in 2001. At the present time Dr. Wollney concentrates on comprehensive care for cats and dogs, though she still sees the occasional rabbit, patient. She also works with Black Creek Wildlife station helping with the medical care of local wildlife patients. Dr. Gwen owns four cats, all rescues. In her free time she enjoys hiking, weaving, and various craft projects.

Dr. Kathy Collins, D.V.M., C.C.R.P.

Dr. Kathy Collins is our traveling veternarian. She is the proprietor of Veterinary Surgical Services, PLLC. Dr. Collins is a specialist in small animal surgery, achieving Board Certification from the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS). Dr. Collins has been working in a specialty surgical practice since completion of her residency in July 2000. Dr. Collins earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the Atlantic Veterinary College, University of Prince Edward Island. After completing a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at Kansas State University, Dr. Collins attended the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine, where she completed her Small Animal Surgery Residency. She has spent the last 10 years in a private referral practice, most recently serving as Chief of Surgery at Northview Veterinary Specialty Services. Dr. Collins work and research have been published in several professional journals and online. In addition, she has been awarded numerous research grants. Dr. Collins has taught and presented nationally and has been honored for her academic and clinical proficiencies.

Dr. Erica Grzankowski, DVM

Veterinary Services of Greater Rochester, PLLC

Dr. Erica Grzankowski is a Buffalo native and graduated from SUNY Geneseo with her Bachelor of Science degree. From there she went to Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and finished her clinical rotations at Purdue University.

Dr. Erica Grzankowski has been working as a veterinarian in the Rochester area for the past 13 years. Dr. Erica shares her life with her husband, 2 children, a Doberman and 2 cats. In her spare time she enjoys running, boxing and spending time with her family.

Dr. Liz Deprez, DVM

We are delighted to introduce our newest team member, Dr. Liz Deprez! Dr. Liz received her B.S. in Animal Science from The Ohio State University and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee. As a Western New York native she’s excited to be back in the area that she grew up in. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with her dog, Brooklyn, her cat, Binx, working on arts and crafts, and gaming with her friends. We are looking forward to growing and learning alongside Dr. Liz and can’t wait for all of our patients and their families to meet her!
